Children’s Glaucoma Foundation Campaign
The Children's Glaucoma Foundation supports programs for children with glaucoma. Childhood glaucoma is a rare disease occurring in 1 in 10,000 children. Yet, this disease is a leading cause of blindness in infants and children. Many parents are unaware children can have glaucoma. Pediatricians and primary doctors infrequently see children with glaucoma. Because of this, a child's glaucoma may go unrecognized before the child experiences vision loss.Website: www.childrensglaucomafoundation.org
Alternating Hemiplegia of Childhood Foundation
Our mission is to find the cause(s) of AHC, develop effective treatments and ultimately find a cure, while providing support to the families and children with AHC by funding research to accomplish these goals. Secondarily, we strive to promote proper diagnosis, educate health care professionals, the public and related organizations, encourage the worldwide exchange of information and advance the development of an international database of all AHC patients.Website: www.ahckids.org
